Asian jurisdictions vary widely in approach but converge on one point: unlicensed firearm manufacture is prohibited regardless of the technology used. Singapore and South Korea go further and target the digital blueprints directly, and Japan set an early precedent with a criminal conviction for printing functional handguns in 2014.
